| Bollywood actor John Abraham faces a 15-day prison term after a Mumbai court on Friday dismissed his appeal against a 2010 conviction for rash and negligent driving. He was released on after posting a Rs20,000 bail. He lost his appeal against the punishment in a Mumbai sessions court on Friday but will now appeal to the Bombay High Court. The case dates back to 2006 when Abraham was involved in an accident while riding his Yamaha Hayabusa motorbike, which skidded and hit a bicycle, injuring two people in suburban Mumbai. Abraham had stopped and helped the victims to hospital despite his own injuries. The police charged Abraham with rash driving on a public way and endangering the life or personal safety of others. |
