Top 10 Weirdest Keyboards ever | FuNMaza Amazing Things

Monday, 13 August 2012
Keyboards come in many shapes - from the simplest computer grey $9.99 standard 102-key keyboard to variants that seem to come straight out of a Star Trek episode. Here's our Top 10 list of the weirdest keyboards ever.
10. Roll-up keyboard
This keyboard has the same measurements as a standard 102-key keyboard, but there's a big difference. You can roll this one up and put it in your pocket. Nice.

9. The wrist keyboard

This one might be useful if you're in the need to type stuff while doing practical work in tough climates - but if you would wear this keyboard at the office, you might be considered a bit geeky.

8. Maltron 3D Ergonomic Keyboard

Things are starting to get a bit more weird, ey? Getting used to this keyboard isn't something you'll do in 10 minutes or so - it will take a while for sure. But if you have medical problems with your hands, this might be a good choice since it's a very ergonomic keyboard. It looks very weird though!

7. The SafeType keyboard

Just take a look at this one. Do you understand how to use it? The idea is that your hands and arms shall be in a more relaxed position while working with the SafeType compared to a traditional keyboard.

6. Virtual Laser Keyboard

Wow, it's heating up, don't you agree? This is more cool than weird though. This laser gadget projects a virtual keyboard on a table or other suitable material, and then interpret your finger movement and pass them on to your PDA or whatever you have it connected to. Cool.

5. The frogpad

The frogpad is a tiny, tiny keyboard - or it would be more suitable to call it a keypad actually. The manufacturer say that you can get up to 40 words per minute if you practice between 6 to 10 hours with it. Any idea why they are calling it a frogpad?

4. The Twiddler 2

What do you say about the Twiddler 2? It looks to be quite painful to use, or what do you think? According to the testimonials at their site, it will take you 'a weekend' to learn typing 30 words per minute, so the frogpad wins that round.

3. The Orbitouch

This one could be a leftover from Area 51, or a prop from the set of any science fiction movie. Wonder how it works? Here's what the manufacturer say: "The orbiTouch creates a keystroke when you slide the two domes into one of their eight respective positions. You type the different characters by sliding the domes to create letters and numbers. The orbiTouch also has an integrated mouse, so moving the domes gives you full mouse and keyboard capability!" The target group for this keyboard is of course people who have limited or no motion in their fingers or hands, and that's a very good thing - but anyway, it's a weird keyboard.

2. The Datahand

This product is aimed for people who get pain in their hands from typing with a traditional keyboard - and that's a good thing. It's still looks like a very strange keyboard. Everytime I see this one I think of the movie Predator with Arnold Schwarzenegger, don't know why. I love this one - the keyboard, not the movie.

1. The Tidy Tippist

Isn't this one lovely? The keyboard is hidden inside a decorative, washable tablecloth. The electronic is woven into a fabric, which finds itself between layers of water resistant felt as sandwich material. The soft felt surface makes it a pleasure for fingers to tip - a cosy keyboard. Awesome, hehe.

Nail watch unbelievable! | FuNMaza Amazing Things

Monday, 13 August 2012
What's that on your thumb? Nail-art? Nope its showing time. Yes, anything that shows time is called a watch. Agreed, a watch is never seen on a thumb but times have changed thanks to Timex. Timex, in collaboration with Core77, held a global design competition called 2154: the future of time design. So what you are seeing here is the TX54 concept.

A little about this nail watch:

It is a disposable clock and calender that can be worn on the user's thumbnail.

The nail clock makes seeing in the dark as easy as pressing down on the end of your thumbnail.
Wonder how much this concept will sell. Its stylish no doubt, but with such sassy, classy and amazing wrist watches around, dunno if this will survive the competition. Surprisingly, this was the runner up!

7 Solid Reasons Why Google+ is Better Than Facebook - Its Time to Migrate

on July 27, 2011 2 comments

Google, the most powerful brand of the world has Facebook as the closest competitor in Internet. Google always tried to defeat Facebook by launching social networks such as Orkut, Google Buzz and Google Wave however they could not defeat Facebook. This time, Google has come with a concept similar to Facebook and named it "Google Plus". Its user friendly and provides more privileges than Facebook. Currently, its in Invitation mood only (get a Google plus invitation) however Google will start accepting signups without any invitation soon.
Facebook did not introduce anything really interesting yet so if you are looking for something interesting, you should migrate to (or at least try) Google Plus. Here are 7 Reasons to Move from Facebook to Google Plus.

1- Integration of Google+ with other Google Services

One of the loveliest thing about Google Plus is, you can use all services of Google including Google Plus with the same account. Other services such as Gmail, Picasa, Blogger etc comes under 1 roof which is something really cool. You dont have any need to create multiple accounts to get benefits of other services of Google. On the other hand, Facebook does not give you such services at all.

2- Manage Your Contacts with Ease

Google introduced Circles which is kind of amalgamation of Facebook, Twitter and Google Buzz. You can do both, i.e. have followers and keep following plus you can also organize your contacts into different circles. You can create circles, add particular contacts in certain circle and when you will Update you status, Google Plus will ask you to which circle you want to share that status update. You can either select a single circle or can select multiple circles. This option gives you more privacy.

3- Access New things and Share them easily

Sparks is another great innovation by Google+ which is considered much faster than Facebook News Feed and the reason is Google + is integrated with Google Search engine so you can find anything instantly and can share in your circles. While in Facebook, you are dependent on external search engines such as Google, Bing, Yahoo etc. In Facebook, you can not search using News Feed dialog box, their integrated search box works pathetic.

4- Storage and Access to Data

Facebook users always had privacy issues and ratio of such issues never decreased with the passage of time as Facebook does not have not have any data storage and data management services. However Google do have very organized services for Data storage and data sharing. Google has integrated Google docs and Picasa Albums with Google Plus for better user experience.

5- Easy to share photos

You get a most powerful photo sharing service "Picasa Photo Albums" integrated with Google+ account. You can upload pictures using desktop or online Picasa tools and then simply share the picture link among your circles any time.

6- Better Mobile Applications

Google has officially released their applications for various gadgets and their applications work more efficiently than Facebook's applications for any gadget. You can use Google plus on your mobile more easily, cleanly with full functionalities.

7- Group Video Chat - Hangouts

Facebook had not introduced Video Chat until the release of Google plus. Google Plus has introduced a very stunning feature called "Hangouts". You can easily create Group Video chat using Hangouts feature. Its really fun using Hangout feature of Google Plus.

Running a social network is all about handling and taking care of your privacy and when it comes to privacy, Google is much better than Facebook in maintaining user's privacy. There are possibly several other reasons for moving to Google Plus but it depends on your usage i.e. which feature of Google Plus attracts you more.

Dating In Pakistan

Sunday, 29 April 2012

Dating in Pakistan is a complex and newly emerging concept. Pakistan mostly comprises of Muslim people from rural areas and conservatives belonging to middle class society. They all look down upon this new phenomena evolving in our Islamic country. Many areas of Pakistan are liberal in their approach such as Lahore in Punjab and Karachi in Sindh. On the other hand, in many western parts of Pakistan like the N.W.F.P and Baluchistan you will find age old tribal customs which prohibit this liberalism.

Dating begins and blooms in certain places, like colleges and universities. Love blossoms while studying together and finally after a few years the couple might consider marriage the traditional way. This means that the boy's family finally shows up at the girl's home for the proposal. This leads to engagement ceremony and eventually marriage. Though there is nothing evidently wrong with this sort of marriage arrangement but our religion Islam does not permit mixing of men and women for the purpose of romance. Many people oppose this growing liberalism. They claim that this phenomenon arises from the West. We as Muslims should not follow in the footsteps of the western culture and traditions. Even Indian media is responsible to quite some extent for promoting this concept through their movies which portray love, dating and other such notions commonly. They leave a deep impression on youngsters mind.

Online dating

Online dating is revolutionizing the social scene in Pakistan. Since not many social opportunities are available to the young generation, they are resorting to the dating over the Internet. Internet access in Pakistan is steadily growing at one of the fastest rates in Asia and finding love is becoming easier. It is gaining popularity because of mobility issues for many females in the country. Online dating has helped people in Pakistan to take a new turn where people have the freedom to choose and to arrange dates online first before finally arranging a romantic encounter.

Conclusion

Our society still considers this socially unacceptable and unethical. Friend ship is acceptable but with in limits. Religion, moral values, culture and social setup of our country does not allow us to practice this norm. Being a Muslim myself, I feel we must condemn this sort of activity in public places. Our religion does not permit such western influences; therefore we must abide by it. The correct approach to a successful relationship would be when the parents of both the boy and the girl are involved to settle and make decisions regarding the future of their children. We, as Muslims, should realize and respect our parents decisions to search for a genuine and suitable life partner. It is this blind faith and trust that we bestow upon our parents that makes our religion superior and above the rest.

Tips for Losing Weight..!!1

Monday, 12 March 2012

With all the pressure from society these days to stay fit and look perfect, it can be really overwhelming. It seems like all the celebs can lose weight at the drop of a hat. So, why cant the rest of us? Here are 10 tips that will help get you in the right direction. Remember, its not about how quickly you complete the steps; its about the quality that you accomplish them and Yes, you will not only look beautiful but will also feel beautiful and satisfied once you are continually following these simple steps on regular basis.

Reduce Your Fat Intake

Of course, one of the first and foremost things you should focus on is your fat intake. Too much fat is terrible for your body. You dont have to get obsessive over it, but just make a conscious effort. If you need to, begin cutting back slowly. You arent in a race, you are doing this for yourself and thats all that matters. This can be very difficult because of the way the media displays what it means to be beautiful when in reality beauty cannot be defined. Beauty truly is in the eye of the beholder.

Watch Your Calories

This is a step a lot of people have trouble with. So many people become completely obsessed and they begin counting calories as they eat anything. While this may work for some, I have never seen it work personally. Going from not counting, to counting is a big change and it makes the entire experience much more intimidating. You want to take this slow because if you stress yourself out and put too much pressure on yourself, you are more likely to fail.

Switch To Sweetener

Something as simple as cutting back on sugar does wonders for your body. All of that sugar is so bad for you and builds up quickly overtime; causing excess weight. The great thing about sweeteners today is many of them come completely calorie free and they taste very similar to sugar. Many people use them on a regular basis and said they cant even tell the difference anymore. Equal is one that many people seem to gravitate towards.

Avoid Sweets When You Can

Dont lie, weve all done it; youre watching your weight, working out and really doing a great job then suddenly you see that cake. While you stare at it you feel guilty because you dont want to ruin everything youve been working towards but at the same time you feel you deserve it. This is a battle you are never going to win if you keep tackling it that way. Approach the situation differently; instead of making yourself feel like you cant ever have desert again in your life, just cut back. Feeling like eating a huge piece of that brownie your mother brought over? Whatever youre picturing eating in your mind, cut in half. Youll be surprised that once you eat that smaller piece you are just as satisfied because you got rid of the craving and you dont have that feeling of guilt. Its a win-win!

Switch Up Your Favorite Drinks

This world is so dependent on coffee, but a lot of our favorite drinks are horrible for our bodies. You pretty much dont even want to know how much sugar, how many calories and other things are put into them. One great option for you would be to ask for sugar free or use Soy Milk instead of regular. Some coffee shops can even make you a coffee thats light. If you feel that you could do better and want to try taking it a step further, why not switch to tea? There are some great teas that have no caffeine but give you an incredible amount of energy.

Take The Stairs Instead Of The Elevator

When youre out and about; checking the mail, going to the bank or going grocery shopping; there are various things you can do to get more of a work out along the way. Why take the elevator when you can take the stairs? On your way out to get your mail? Why not walk past your mailbox, and go around the block before coming back to bring your mail inside? There are a lot of things you can do that wont feel like exercise.

Never Work Out

Another way a lot of people set themselves up for failure is by using the words work out or exercise. Typically our brains register this as a negative thing. Come up with new ways to stay fit without having to work for it. If you like to dance, thats a great way to burn some calories and have fun at the same time.

Join Some Sort Of Club

If you find you are having a tough time sticking to your plan; you can always join a club. When around other people, you are more likely to succeed because you are going to be much more motivated. Working out alone isnt very fun.

Set Specific Goals

Still feeling like this just isnt working for you? Sit down and think about your goals for the future. What is your motivation in wanting to lose some weight? Are you doing it for yourself, your children? Find your motivation and from there begin coming up with specific goals. Start small in the beginning so you can easily accomplish the goals. Each time you accomplish one of your goals, you are going to become more likely to succeed in the long run. Setting goals that are too hard and take to long to meet is just going to discourage you.

Dont Give Up

No matter what you do, do not give up. Even if you promised yourself you were going to work out every day and you havent gotten of the couch in a month; its not too late. Never beat yourself up over the little things. Treat each day as a new start. If youre upset that you havent done much today, put everything down as youre reading this and go for a walk or play on the Wii. Its never too late.
